An Invite-Only Dinner Club,
Built to 100/100
How we built Outwork, a private founder dinner club launching in Miami — a hand-coded, single-file site that scores 100/100 in all four Lighthouse categories on the live URL, and went from unregistered DNS to deployed HTTPS with full SEO infrastructure in one working day.
The Brief
Outwork is a founder support business launching in Miami. The flagship is a private dinner: six founders, one table, every third Tuesday, referral only. The brand existed as one approved flyer — deep petrol green, gold, a top-down table mark with six seats — and the site had one job: turn a referral into an application.
The constraint list was strict. Hand-coded HTML, CSS, and JavaScript only. No frameworks, no build step, no templates. A target of 100/100 Google PageSpeed on mobile and desktop. Self-hosted fonts. Fully responsive down to 360px, with visible focus states and reduced-motion support. The site had to look like the flyer became a webpage.
What We Built
A Single-File Page That Reads Like the Invitation
The entire homepage is one HTML file with inline CSS and JavaScript. The design thesis: the page is the invitation. A fixed, thin gold double-frame with the flyer's top notch wraps the whole viewport, and the content scrolls inside it like a printed card. The six-seat table mark was rebuilt as inline SVG — seats fade in one by one on load, and the candle at the center of the table carries a slow flicker. Under reduced-motion preferences, all of it stands still.
A Brand System, Not a Theme
Cinzel for display type — its small-caps lowercase reproduces the flyer's engraved look automatically — and Jost for everything else, shipped as a single variable font file covering every weight used. Two font files total, subset to Latin, preloaded, self-hosted. The palette, the letterspaced labels, the gold diamond dividers: every element derives from the flyer rather than a component library.
An Application Flow with No Backend
The application form — five questions, ending in "Request a Seat" — composes a structured email on submit. No server, no third-party form service, no data stored anywhere. For a referral-only club handling founders' information, the most private backend is no backend at all.
A Chapter Page Built to Rank
Beyond the homepage, weoutwork.com/miami targets the searches people actually make — founder dinners and founder networking in Miami — with the format, the rules, an FAQ carrying FAQPage structured data, and a direct path into the application. The homepage carries Organization, WebSite, and Event schema for the first dinner on August 25.
Launch-Day SEO Infrastructure
The same day the site went live: Google Search Console verified at the domain level via DNS TXT, sitemap submitted, indexing requested for both URLs, IndexNow key deployed and both URLs pushed to the IndexNow API, robots.txt pointing at the sitemap, canonical URLs, Open Graph and Twitter cards, and a branded email address on the domain with forwarding configured and tested. Most sites accumulate this over months. Outwork launched with all of it.
The Technical Details
Verified by Lighthouse against the live HTTPS URL on launch day: 100 Performance, 100 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices, 100 SEO. Largest Contentful Paint 1.4 seconds, zero cumulative layout shift, three requests to first render.
The Results
At 9 AM the domain had parking-page DNS and no site. By the end of the day: a deployed, hand-coded brand site on HTTPS with a perfect Lighthouse score, a ranking page for its market, verified search infrastructure, and a working application funnel to a branded email address.
The Flyer Became a Webpage
The client's one approved brand artifact was a dinner invitation flyer. The site reproduces it as an interactive object — same palette, same type system, same table mark, now animated and responsive — instead of translating it into somebody else's template. That is what hand-coding buys: the brand survives contact with the web.
Perfect Scores on the Live URL
Lighthouse 100s in a lab build are common. These were measured against the deployed production site, over HTTPS, fonts and TLS and real headers included — the same page a visitor gets. One layout decision mattered enough to note: entrance animations that start elements at zero opacity silently destroy the LCP metric. Ours start at two percent. Invisible to humans, visible to the metric.
Why This Approach Works
An invite-only club lives on credibility. Every applicant hears about the table from a person, then checks the website before replying. If that check lands on a slow template with stock photography, the room loses its shine before anyone sits down. A page that loads instantly, looks like the invitation, and behaves flawlessly on a phone is the digital version of a well-set table.
This is the same philosophy behind our Primal Sounds case study and our Kandi Korner case study. Different businesses, different industries, same commitment to hand-coded quality and launch-day SEO infrastructure.
